PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
Kim Gelman has been handling real estate transactions since 1989. She obtained her real estate broker’s license and joined Cashin Company in 1997. Specializing in the Peninsula real estate market, including the areas of Hillsborough, Burlingame, San Mateo and Foster City, Kim has represented countless satisfied clients, both buyers and sellers.
Kim has extensive experience handling real estate transactions both as a Realtor and as an attorney. Prior to starting her career as Realtor, Kim practiced real estate law almost exclusively for 8 years with the international law firm of Baker & McKenzie. During her tenure with the firm, Kim drafted and negotiated purchase and sale agreements, and coordinated the closings of numerous commercial and residential real estate transactions.
Kim graduated from University of Arizona with distinction in 1986. She graduated from University of California's Hastings College of the Law in 1989.
PROFESSIONAL PHILOSOPHY
Kim owes her success as a Realtor to referrals from former clients. Over 95% of Kim’s business is from repeat business and referrals. Clients continually refer their family and friends to Kim because of her professionalism and integrity. Kim has a thorough understanding of the many facets of a real estate transaction, she is hardworking and she puts her clients’ interest first.
When listing a home, Kim’s primary objective is obtaining the highest sales price for her seller. She will not use the listing as a means to find her own buyer to “double end” the deal. With buyers, Kim takes the time to listen to her clients and advise her clients about the local schools, neighborhoods and property information. She employs the latest technology to keep her clients current on new listings and other market information.
STRENGTHS
In addition to Kim’s knowledge of real estate transactions, Kim is creative and has an eye for design and style. She has remodeled houses for herself and has assisted clients with the remodel process drawing on her trade contacts and her vast experience evaluating floor plans and use of space. This talent is also invaluable for preparing a home for sale. Kim actively participates with her clients in working with contractors, painters, architects, designers, landscapers and stagers to get a home ready for sale.
